Privacy-First Commitment (On-Device Processing)

We believe your memories belong to you. Unlike many other photo editors, AutoFrame does not upload your photos to the cloud.

• •Image Processing: All image analysis, subject detection, and scaling (using Apple's Vision Framework) is performed locally on your device.
• •No Cloud Storage: We do not store, view, or host your personal photos or collages on our servers.

Information Collection and Use

The Application minimizes data collection. We categorize data into two types:

A. Data Processed Locally (Not Collected)

This data is used by the app to function but is never transmitted to our servers:

• •Photos & Face Data: Accessed solely for the purpose of creating your collages.
• •Photo Metadata: Accessed locally from your photo library solely to read the “Date” tags on your images for the “Auto-Date” feature. We do not access your device's real-time GPS location or request location permissions.

B. Data Collected by Third Parties

The Application relies on a small number of third-party services to handle premium subscriptions and to understand how the app is used in aggregate. The data each receives is limited to what's necessary for its purpose:

• •Apple App Store (StoreKit): When you purchase a subscription, Apple processes the transaction and stores your receipt on their servers. We do not see your payment method, billing address, or Apple ID. Receipts are governed by Apple's Privacy Policy.
• •RevenueCat: We use RevenueCat to validate your App Store receipt with Apple, track subscription status, and grant access to premium features. RevenueCat receives:
  • —Your purchase records (which subscription you bought, when it renews, whether it's active)
  • —An anonymous subscriber identifier generated by RevenueCat — not your Apple ID, email, name, or device hardware ID
  • —Optional cancellation feedback, if you choose to submit it (see section below)
• •RevenueCat does not receive your photos, collages, or any personal contact information. See RevenueCat's Privacy Policy for details.
• •PostHog (Anonymous Product Analytics): We use PostHog to understand how AutoFrame is used in aggregate so we can improve features, fix bugs, and decide which improvements to prioritize. PostHog receives:
  • —An anonymous identifier (the same one generated by RevenueCat — not your Apple ID, email, name, or device serial number)
  • —Events describing your interaction with the app: starting a collage, saving a collage, viewing the upgrade screen, completing or cancelling a subscription, restoring purchases
  • —Properties about each event: collage layout and size, export resolution, whether you used privacy (face blur) mode, your premium status, cumulative number of saves
  • —Standard device context: app version, iOS version, device type, locale, and IP address
  • —App lifecycle signals (installed, opened, backgrounded)
• •PostHog does not receive your photos, collages, custom dates, overlay text, name, email, contact information, or precise location. Analytics data is stored on PostHog's US infrastructure and is used solely for product improvement — never for advertising, never sold to third parties. See PostHog's Privacy Policy for details.

Use of Artificial Intelligence (AI)

The Application uses on-device Artificial Intelligence (Apple Vision Framework) to detect subjects in your photos and scale them automatically.

• •Local Execution: This AI runs entirely on your phone's processor.
• •No Training: Your photos are not used to train our AI models or shared with external AI companies.

Children's Privacy

We understand that this Application is often used to document family growth and children.

• •Family Safe: We do not knowingly collect or solicit personal information from children under the age of 13.
• •Zero Image Transfer: Because all image processing happens on your device, we never possess, view, or store images of your children.

Opt-Out Rights

You can stop all collection of information by the Application easily by uninstalling it. You may use the standard uninstall processes available as part of your mobile device.

Data Retention Policy

• •User Data: Since we do not require a login or account, we do not store your personal profile data.
• •Subscription Data: Purchase records are retained by Apple and RevenueCat according to their retention policies to ensure you can restore your purchase if you change phones.
• •Cancellation Feedback: Cancellation feedback is retained by RevenueCat indefinitely on the subscriber record. To request deletion, contact us via the email below.
• •Analytics Data: PostHog event records are retained on PostHog's standard retention schedule (currently 7 years for events, with cohort/insight data retained as long as the project exists). Because analytics events are tied to an anonymous identifier we cannot reverse, the most reliable way to stop further collection is to uninstall the Application; reinstalling generates a new anonymous identifier with no link to the prior one.

Changes

This Privacy Policy may be updated from time to time. The Service Provider will notify you of any changes to the Privacy Policy by updating this page with the new Privacy Policy. You are advised to consult this Privacy Policy regularly for any changes, as continued use is deemed approval of all changes.

By using the Application, you are consenting to the processing of your information as set forth in this Privacy Policy now and as amended by us.
